We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic member to join the Auckland team in East Tamaki who has a strong background in Engineering Machinery or technical sales background.

In order to support our continued growth, the new position has been created for someone who has a good understanding of the engineering industry and machine tools.

Roles and responsibilities:

This role collaborates with our overseas suppliers, administration, dispatch and management to provide follow-up for our customers. Duties include:

- Maintaining involvement on sales leads, demonstrations and other customer related projects to meet deadlines and budgets

- Interacting with customers and engineers on pre-sale activities including customer visits, evaluation of opportunities and development of proposals

- Integrating sales and individual activity into CRM system

- Manage and maintain our branch & showroom to a high standard

- This position requires some travel throughout New Zealand.

Job Competencies:

- The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics with proven sales experience.

- Possess strong, professional communication and presentation skills.

- Possessing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company

- Knowledge of CNC & conventional machine technology as well as fabrication machinery and applications will be an advantage.

- Have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

- Have the ability to organise and manage yourself as well as others

- Excellent command of the English language both written and orally

- Be personable and able to communicate with customers in a customer service role

This job requires someone with great attention to detail who is quick to learn. It is a challenging role demanding a clear thinking and highly organised person with a positive can-do attitude.
